J. Michael Naylor

Human Resources (HR) and Operations Consultant. Develop Solutions that Optimize People and Business Performance, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Consulting. Michael has a history of successfully partnering with senior leadership, managers and employees that fosters dynamic employee engaged organizations achieving significant business objectives. It is his keen understanding of corporate vision/objectives, insight into environmental dynamics, strengths in building teams and instilling dedication to team success that has made him so effective. Michael has enjoyed his 30-year career as a Human Resources Leader in the corporate, government and private non-profit sectors.  He has constantly been engaged in efforts to transform people management processes that drove organizational effectiveness, strategic planning and implementation, talent development, diversity equity and inclusion, and change management initiatives.  Efforts have included talent acquisition, performance management, engagement in technology integration and cultural evolution.  These actions have ranged from revamping and updating HR operations incorporating technology, evolution to global HR call center of excellence, restructure of North American customer service operations, serving as Chair for University Division of Business faculty/staff operations, and development and implementation of several diversity efforts.  Most recently he led the building project of a $10M Global Leadership Center in RTP, NC.  Michael has also engaged his leadership skills to influence positive community development. Some specific highlights include Executive Director of Life Community Services community outreach; United Way Leadership Circle member, current Board of Directors President for Community Navigator Community Builders Youth Organization; and Human Resources Committee and Board Member for Communities in Schools of Wake County. Also serves as Assistant Diversity Director for Raleigh Metro Society for Human Resources Management (RMSHRM). Michael earned his MBA with a concentration in Organizational Behavior from Western Carolina University. He has also completed executive level leadership training at the Center for Creative Leadership, Development Dimensions International (DDI) certified facilitator, UNC Chapel Hill School of Government and Diversity training from the Society for Diversity, Institute for Diversity Certification and Empowered Living.
